Mattia Cecchinato

I am a DPhil student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford (St Cross College), where I am also a member of the Uehiro Oxford Institute.

My research focuses on the moral significance of consciousness and personal identity. But I am also interested in the ethics of AI, enviromental ethics, and any other pressing moral matter affecting minded beings. I am supervised by Roger Crisp, Jeff McMahan, and Andreas Mogensen.

I completed my MPhil in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews under the supervision of Theron Pummer and Tim Mulgan. I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of Padova, in my hometown.

You can find my papers here and email me at mattia.cecchinato@philosophy.ox.ac.uk
