Mattia Cecchinato
I am a DPhil student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford (St Cross College), where I am also a member of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics and a fellow at the Global Priorities Institute. My research focuses on foundational issues concerning the moral significance of consciousness, personal identity and the variety of possible minds that might populate the far future. I am supervised by Roger Crisp, Jeff McMahan, and Andreas Mogensen.
I completed my MPhil in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews under the supervision of Theron Pummer and Tim Mulgan. I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of Padova, in my hometown.
